Lucid Motors Unveils Plans for Midsize Electric Vehicle Priced at $50,000

Lucid Motors revealed plans for an upcoming midsize electric vehicle (EV) during the unveiling of its expanded factory in Arizona. The midsize project is seen as crucial for Lucid to achieve higher production volume and cater to a wider market. The targeted starting price for the midsize EV is $50,000, positioning it as a competitor to Tesla’s Model 3 or Model Y.

Lucid aims to bring the benefits of efficiency, performance, and space from its existing models to a more accessible and mainstream product. The company’s executives, including CEO Peter Rawlinson and Senior Vice President Derek Jenkins, confirmed active development on the midsize car, with a potential launch date estimated within the next three-and-a-half years. While the final design is yet to be confirmed, Lucid is expected to release teasers before the official launch.
