iPhone 15 Has New Setting to Prevent Charging Beyond 80%

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models include a new battery health setting that limits charging to 80% when enabled. This setting is separate from the existing Optimized Battery Charging feature, which delays charging past 80% based on usage patterns. When the 80% limit is enabled, the iPhone will never charge beyond that point.

This feature can help extend the lifespan of the battery by reducing the time it spends at full charge. All iPhone 15 models offer this option, and Apple claims their battery life is the same as the iPhone 14 models. The devices are set to launch soon.
