iOS 26 FaceTime Will Freeze Call If Someone Gets Naked
iOS 26 brings major updates to iPhones, including a new Liquid Glass design and enhancements to Messages, Wallet, and CarPlay. A newly discovered feature in the iOS 26 beta adds nudity detection to FaceTime, which automatically freezes video and audio if someone starts undressing during a call.
Originally announced as part of child safety tools, this Communication Safety feature was meant to protect minors by blocking nudity in FaceTime calls and Shared Albums. However, the beta shows the feature may be activating for adult users too.
When triggered, users are prompted to either resume the call or end it. It’s unclear if this behavior is intentional or a beta bug.
Apple emphasizes that all detection occurs on-device, meaning no images or videos are sent to Apple, preserving user privacy.
