Sony has unveiled a groundbreaking surgical robot designed for super-microsurgery, a highly precise field operating on tiny blood vessels and nerves. Unlike existing surgical robots, Sony’s prototype auto-switches between tools and offers low-latency remote operation using squeeze-sensitive controllers and a 4K 3D camera system.
Surgeons praise its precise control and seamless integration with their movements. Tested at Achi Medical University, the robot enabled non-specialists to perform complex procedures with expert precision. Sony plans to further develop the technology to advance medicine.
