Apple Unveils Cutting-Edge M3 Chips with GPU Advancements and More
Apple has introduced its latest generation of M-series chips, including the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max. These new chips feature a 3nm architecture, similar to the A17 Pro, and incorporate a novel GPU technique called Dynamic Caching. Notably, this launch marks the first time Apple has unveiled M-series chips simultaneously with their Pro and Max counterparts.
The M3 chips bring 3nm architecture to Macs for the first time. The key highlights include GPU improvements with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, enhanced performance per watt that matches M1 performance while using roughly half the power, a 16% faster Neural Engine compared to the M2, and support for up to 128GB of RAM, a first for Apple.
