New Shirt Makes You Feel Your Video Games

Ubisoft has partnered with OWO to create the Assassin’s Creed Mirage edition haptic feedback shirt, designed to enhance the Assassin’s Creed gaming experience with realistic sensations. The shirt features haptic points on the chest, stomach, lower back, and arms, which use an algorithm to simulate interactions like parkour and impacts in the game. Users can calibrate the sensations using a mobile app and even use it with other compatible games through mods or native support. The pricing and release date are yet to be revealed, but it will work with various gaming platforms like PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game is set to be released on October 12th, and the OWO shirt will come with a game code. While wearable haptics for games have been experimental in the past, this collaboration could potentially gain more traction, especially as the next generation of mixed reality headsets enters the market, making immersion crucial in AR and VR games.
