Robot Bricklayer Can Lay 300 Bricks an Hour

FBR Limited, a robotic technology company, has successfully completed the first outdoor test build of its next-generation Hadrian X construction robot in Perth, Western Australia. The new robot boasts a 32-meter telescoping boom and can handle blocks of significant dimensions. It features a shuttle delivery system for enhanced speed and reliability, as well as a modular architecture for easy part replacement and customization to suit specific project requirements. Instead of mortar, it uses a special construction adhesive, enabling continuous construction and strengthening of walls.

In May 2023, it set a record by laying nearly 300 blocks per hour. FBR also signed an agreement with M&G Investment Management to produce and deploy three more next-generation Hadrian X robots for use in the USA. These robots will be constructed on US truck bases and provide “Wall as a Service” through Fastbrick Americas LLC. FBR is collaborating with Liebherr-Mischtechnik GmbH to industrialize and commercialize Hadrian X, which has already completed various building projects globally.
