The Tech Tribune staff has compiled the very best tech startups in New Mexico. In doing our research, we considered several factors including but not limited to:
- Revenue potential
- Leadership team
- Brand/product traction
- Competitive landscape
Additionally, all companies must be independent (unacquired), privately owned, at most 10 years old, and have received at least one round of funding in order to qualify.

1. Descartes Labs

2. Meow Wolf
Founded: 2008
“Meow Wolf is forging new territory in location-based experiential entertainment, leveraging its wildfire popularity – and creative capacity – to develop new IP and maximize revenue potential through our Direct-to-Consumer platform.
Immersive Experiences – Our flagship attraction in Santa Fe has attracted over 1M visitors, through word-of-mouth and rave online reviews. Meow Wolf plans to expand into 10+ locations by 2023 in parallel with significant growth in digital entertainment that will bring the Meow Wolf experience to fans world-wide.”

“BabyPage helps busy parents create beautiful, modern baby books. Through our guided page creation process, we deliver a step-by-step experience and ask the parent a handful of questions depicted by the child’s age. With our natural language algorithm, we populate a page within their book for that specific milestone. The parent picks a design to frame the page, tweeks a handful of settings to personalize it, and saves it. Once the book has enough pages, they can purchase various types of printed books or digital versions.”
8. AdWallet
Founded: 2017
“AdWallet is a free app (available for download August 1st) that pays its users $.50 every time they watch a TV ad (and prove they’ve watched it). AdWallet also pays them an additional $.25 when they share it on social media.
