New AI Blood Test Detects Gastric Cancer, 90% Accuracy
Researchers have developed a groundbreaking AI-driven blood test with a 90% accuracy rate for early detection of gastric cancer, a major global health issue. This non-invasive method detects cell-free DNA (cfDNA) from both healthy and tumor cells in the bloodstream, offering a more patient-friendly alternative to traditional endoscopies and serum markers, which have lower detection rates.
The study, led by Chinese scientists, demonstrated high sensitivity and specificity, potentially revolutionizing gastric cancer screening and significantly improving survival rates by enabling earlier diagnosis. This method could also advance diagnostic and prognostic tools for gastric cancer.
