New Anti-AI Scraping Technology Debuts
Cloudflare has introduced “AI Labyrinth,” a tool designed to counter unauthorized AI data scraping by misleading bots with AI-generated but irrelevant content. Instead of blocking crawlers outright, the system lures them into a maze of realistic-looking pages, wasting their resources without revealing site content.
The feature functions as an advanced “honeypot,” helping Cloudflare identify and track bots. AI Labyrinth is available to all Cloudflare customers and contributes to a growing field of anti-scraping measures. However, its long-term effectiveness remains uncertain as AI crawlers may evolve to evade such traps.
