World’s First 8 TB SD and 16 TB External SSD
Western Digital has announced several groundbreaking storage products, including the world’s first 8TB SD card and 16TB external SSD, aimed at consumers who need large, portable storage options. Unveiled at the Future Memory and Storage Conference (FMS2024), these products are ideal for devices like Steam Decks, drones, cameras, and laptops.
Additionally, Western Digital introduced a 4TB microSD card and a 128TB high-capacity eSSD for data centers. The company is also working on a portable 16TB SSD and exploring advanced storage technologies for high-performance applications. Pricing details are not yet available, but the new products are expected to be expensive.
