The Tech Tribune staff has compiled the very best tech startups in Michigan. In doing our research, we considered several factors including but not limited to:

2. Leadership team
3. Brand/product traction
4. Competitive landscape

Additionally, all companies must be independent (unacquired), privately owned, at most 10 years old, and have received at least one round of funding in order to qualify.

1. Duo Security

Founded: 2010

5. FarmLogs

Founded: 2012

6. Karamba Security

Founded: 2015

7. Tome

Founded: 2014

“From their office nest in metro Detroit, Tome’s wise, challenge hungry owls live to take on the world’s most-intriguing tech puzzles. Led by serial entrepreneurs Jake Sigal and Massimo Baldini, Tome operates in the Internet of Things tech space, specializing in the development of mobility IoT software solutions. Tome manages the end-to-end product lifecycle to conceive, craft, pilot and launch solutions to real-world problems.
